Event build and breakdown crew
Plan the work before and after your event with a clear crew brief. Urban Crew supports event setup, breakdown and loading tasks, with general crew and specialist staff scoped to the job.
Plan both ends of the event
A setup shift and a breakdown shift can involve different access windows, delivery sequences and crew requirements. Describe each stage separately, including when vehicles arrive, when the space must be clear and which suppliers depend on the crew’s work.
Tasks to include in the brief
Urban Crew can support loading and unloading trucks, setting up and breaking down seating, building and taking down stages or sets, and installing and removing barriers or flooring. It also describes sound, lighting, AV, rigging and LED-wall work. Confirm the scope, specialist skills and responsibilities for those tasks with the team.
Identify the dependencies
Explain venue access, loading routes, vehicle movements, storage areas and the order in which equipment needs to move. Name the event or production contact responsible for directing the work. If the plan changes, keep the relevant suppliers and crew coordinator working from the same instructions.
Separate specialist tasks from general support
List any equipment operators, qualifications or task-specific experience required. Confirm who provides equipment, who controls the working area and what venue permissions apply. General crew support should not be used as a substitute for a specifically qualified or authorised role.
Send a practical quote request
Include the venue postcode, dates, start and finish times, number of crew, work description and specialist requirements. Urban Crew will email a quote; confirm the agreed scope with the team to confirm the booking. If you are applying for crew work, use the separate Join the crew page.
